As parents, we all know that
our job is to raise children--to guide them through their childhood
and adolescence into adulthood. However, parenting is a very
difficult task, and parents get very little guidance. Most parents
do the absolute best they can, but make parenting decisions based on
their emotions. They tend to rescue their children from failure or
from experiencing pain and sadness. These parents take away learning
opportunities from their children, and these children often remain
very dependent on their parents even as adults. Other parents,
because they want their children to be successful, tell their
children what to do and manage their lives in ways that often leave
children unprepared for managing their own lives in adulthood.
Ready for the World, Inc.
was created to help parents learn strategies to prepare their
children for the real world, which is really our ultimate goal as
parents. We believe that the "Becoming a Love and Logic Parent®"
Workshop teaches strategies that can help parents be more successful
and can increase the odds of raising responsible, respectful
children who are ready for the real world.

Maureen is a fabulous parent educator. She openly shares her
personal experiences as both a professional and as a parent.
Classes are honest, raw, and engaging.
Do I regret how I raised my child? No I do not. My only regret
is that I didn't find Maureen when [my daughter] was much
younger so I could feel more confident sending her out into the
world without me!! This is, hands down, one of the greatest
gifts you can share with your family and friends.
